Abstract video animated using thousands of photographs taken of sodium polyacrylate (a common polymer used in household items such as diapers and decorative artificial snow). Food coloring and studio lighting were used to create the color. Green screen effects and other experimental editing techniques were used to suggest the appearance of mold and to simulate growth.
